Sanitech is committed to operating in line with the Consumer Protection Act and all our policies are
subject to the applicable law.
This policy excludes all products supplied on contract or products that are rented and only applies to
products purchased.
Terms & Conditions
1. Proof of purchase is required for all products bought.
2. Once the product is assessed, Sanitech will either refund or exchange within 7-14 business days
or if a repair, within 21 business days. All refunds will be paid back via EFT or credit to customer
account if the product/s was/were purchased on Sanitech account.
3. Promotional and free products that were part of a purchase must be returned with the purchased
product in unused condition and original product packaging.
4. For all returns, except where the product is damaged or faulty, the product must be unused and
returned in its original product packaging. with all accessories including original tags/labels,
manuals and documentation that accompanied the product in order for Sanitech to complete the
return. If you have thrown the packaging away, your return may be rejected.
5. Delivery costs incurred will not be refunded.
6. If you choose to transport the product back to the store, Sanitech will not be held liable for any
damages incurred whilst in transit. For large, bulky or installed products, Sanitech may require an
online assessment and /or an on-site assessment. Once the request is logged, we’ll send a
technician to assess the product, or we will contact you to arrange the online assessment.
7. In the event that your return is not approved by Sanitech, in its sole discretion, a return to
customer fee may be applicable in order for us to deliver the product back to you.
8. Special Order Goods – Should a consumer inform a supplier of the intended use of the goods for
a specific purpose, and the supplier advises the consumer that the goods will meet this particular
purpose, the consumer may, within 10 days of receiving the goods return the goods if they are
not suitable for the intended purpose; and the supplier shall bear the cost of collecting the goods
from the consumer. (Important Note: “Special Order Goods” means that a supplier expressly or
implicitly was required or expected to procure, create or alter specifically to satisfy the consumers’
requirements.)
9. Within 14 days return policy
All unused products (except for Products listed below under point 10, that you are unable to
return) can be returned within 14 days of receiving the product if:
9.1 It is not what you had in mind (the Customer shall bear the cost of delivering the goods to
the Supplier)
9.2 The product arrived incomplete (the Supplier shall bear the cost of collecting the goods
from the consumer)
9.3 You received the incorrect product (the Supplier shall bear the cost of collecting the
goods from the consumer)
9.4 You received an expired product. (the Supplier shall bear the cost of collecting the goods
from the consumer)
10. Products that you’re unable to return:
10.1 Special Order Goods will only be replaced, if defective. Please ensure that specifications
of Special-Order Goods are correct when ordering, as Special-Order Goods cannot
be refunded or exchanged if incorrect specifications were provided.
10.2 Consumables with a shelf-life, unless expired or defective on date of purchase.
10.3 Goods which are sold as “Voetstoets” where Sanitech disclosed these facts to you before
you bought the goods.
10.4 Any products containing hazardous substances like diesel or petrol, For example
lawnmowers and machinery.
11. Unfortunately, you can’t claim any fault/defects with products that were caused by:
11.1 Lightning or power surges
11.2 Misuse or abuse to the goods
11.3 Use for a purpose other than the purpose for which the product was manufactured
11.4 Contrary use to the instruction manuals
11.5 Accidental and/ or negligent damage after you take possession of the product
12. Faulty Products (the Customer shall bear the cost of delivering the goods to the Supplier)
12.1 Within 6 months from purchase, the Sanitech policy is:
After the request is processed, the product will be assessed either in store, via online
assessment or on site and based on the fault, Sanitech will process a repair, replacement,
or refund your product. Where a product is replaced or returned to the customer, the
Customer shall bear the cost of collecting the goods from the Supplier.
12.2 After 6 months from purchase, the supplier/product warranty policy (if applicable) is:
After the request is processed, the product will be assessed either in store or on site and
based on the fault and product warranty terms, the supplier at its sole discretion will either
approve a repair, replacement, or refund of your product. Repairs can take up to 21 (twenty
one) business days. If anything changes, we’ll reach out to you. A representative of Sanitech
will keep you updated on the status of your repair. Where a product is replaced or returned to
the customer, the Customer shall bear the cost of collecting the goods from the Supplier.
12.3 Where Sanitech elects to replace the product, the following conditions for replacement
apply:
If after an assessment, a replacement of your returned product is approved, you will be
provided with the same product. Sanitech reserves the right to collect the faulty product once
replaced and you waive all right and title to the faulty product once replaced.
12.4 If the replacement product is no longer available (due to stock not being available or
discontinued), you will be offered a similar product, and you will be required to pay the
difference in amount between the replacement product and the new product. You may in
these cases elect for a refund of the product.
